Virginia legislators will hold a special session to take up a package of gun control bills in the wake of the mass shooting in Virginia Beach May 31. City employees and residents have mixed reactions on what can be done.
Gov. Ralph Northam (D) on June 4 said he was calling lawmakers back to Richmond for a special session of the General Assembly to take up a package of gun control bills in the wake of the mass shooting in Virginia Beach where 12 were killed. Northam said he wants Republican leaders to bring gun control bills to the full General Assembly.
