Hong Kong on edge ahead of China’s National Day
Ahead of the Communist China’s 70th birthday, Hong Kong is rushing to clean up the city, following protests over the weekend which left buildings daubed in graffiti, windows smashed and parts of the pavement uprooted.
Meanwhile in Beijing, President Xi Jinping led hundreds of troops and officials at Tiananmen Square for a solemn ceremony to remember those who died in the founding of the country.
