Meghan Meets Female Entrepreneurs in Cape Town
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, talked work and motherhood with women entrepreneurs in Cape Town, Wednesday, September 25, before meeting moms and babies at nonprofit mothers2mothers. Meghan was carrying out solo engagements, following a family meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his wife Nomalizo Leah Tutu earlier in the day, along with Prince Harry and their baby son Archie.
At her Work in Progress visit, the duchess listened to women describe their businesses, and empathized with juggling work, travel and motherhood, “it’s a lot, but my goodness it’s all so exciting.” She sat on the floor to play with babies as she talked to mothers and staff at mothers2mothers.
The nonprofit helps prevent the transmission of HIV from mothers to their babies and offers education and support, as well as training and employing women living with HIV as community health workers. (AP)
