President Trump at UNGA Bilateral Meeting with Pakistan PM Khan on Kashmir
President Donald Trump responds to a question on Kashmir during an UNGA bilateral meeting, Monday, September 23, with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan: “I would be willing to help if both wanted. If both Pakistan and India wanted me to do that. I am ready, willing and able.”
World leaders gathered Monday in New York for the 2019 United Nations General Assembly where heads of states will give speeches throughout the week.
Trump is expected to address the General Assembly Tuesday, September 24.
This U.N. General Assembly comes during heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, and a worsening humanitarian situation in Venezuela. The war in Yemen, tensions in Kashmir, as well the U.S. peace plan for the Middle East are likely topics to be discussed.
