Confusion took over the hearing as Lord Pannick pointed out an interview with Jacob Rees-Mogg on the Today programme but it is in the wrong place.
The three-day hearing includes appeals on three separate legal challenges of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s plan to suspend parliament for five weeks.
Lord Pannick said the PM sought to “silence Parliament for that period because he sees Parliament as an obstacle in his political aims.”
