China tells Australia not to interfere in espionage case
China told Australia not to interfere as tensions rose over a writer accused of spying. Canberra said one of its citizens had been arrested on suspicion of espionage, a charge punishable by death in China. Chinese-born Yang Hengjung was detained in January 2019, after flying to Guangzhou from New York.
