Protesters and Police Battle with Tear Gas, Petrol Bombs and More in Hong Kong
Hong Kong police fired tear gas and used water cannons on protesters, who were throwing bricks and petrol bombs, Sunday, August 25. At least six petrol bombs were thrown by protesters. The Chinese city’s MTR rail line was suspended to prevent people from gathering but protesters were able to amass at a sports stadium in the container port of Kwai Chung. The clashes eventually escalated until police were forced to draw their handguns and shoot warning shots.
