Remembering Arun Jaitley’s Fiery Speeches And Interview To India Today

Former finance minister Arun Jaitley has been cremated at the Nigambodh Ghat with full state honours in the presence of leaders from across the political spectrum and scores of his admirers and party workers. Jaitley’s son Rohan performed the last rites as the skies opened up to heavy rainfall.

Former Union minister and BJP stalwart Arun Jaitley passed away at the age of 66 on Saturday after suffering from a prolonged illness. He died after suffering from multiple health issues. Arun Jaitley’s funeral will be performed at the Nigambodh Ghat later in the afternoon. The body has now been kept at the BJP headquarters for leaders and party workers to pay their last respects. The mortal remains will be kept at the BJP headquarters till around 2 pm for party workers and mourners to pay their respects. According to an AIIMS statement, Arun Jaitley, the legal luminary and BJP’s master strategist, breathed his last at 12.07 pm. He was admitted to the hospital on August 9 following complaint of breathing difficulty. Arun Jaitley will be cremated on Sunday afternoon. Follow India Today for latest updates.
