Trump Says He’s ‘Very Seriously’ Looking to End Birthright Citizenship
Days before heading to the G-7 summit of the world’s major industrialized nations, President Donald Trump calls for Russia to be included.”
It has come up, should we put Russia back in? We spend a lot of time talking about Russia at those meetings and they’re not there,” said Trump.
“I think Russia should be a part of it because we’re looking for world peace and it’s, and other things, trade and other things. And it would be a lot easier to have Russia in where they had always been.”
The summit is hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron. Trump and other leaders of the Group of Seven nations arrive Saturday for three days in the French resort town of Biarritz.
The president also spoke about birthright citizenship.”We’re looking at that very seriously, birthright citizenship where you have a baby you know,” said Trump. “You walk over the border have a baby. Congratulations the baby is now a U.S. citizen….it’s frankly ridiculous.”
