Trudeau adviser Gerald Butts quits amid SNC-Lavalin scandal

One of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s top advisers, Gerald Butts, has resigned as principal secretary amid the SNC-Lavalin scandal. Butts denies that he or anyone in the Prime Minister’s Office tried to pressure former justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to help SNC-Lavalin avoid criminal prosecution.
