EU welcomes Boris’ letter but still stands by Irish backstop
BORIS Johnson last night made a new offer to the EU in a bid to end the Brexit deal impasse.
The PM said he was ready to look at new legally binding “commitments” to guarantee the Irish border is kept open if the new system is not ready in time.
