G20 Summit: China, US agree at Xi-Trump meeting to restart trade talks

President Xi Jinping and his American counterpart Donald Trump moved Saturday to re-launch stalled talks to end an escalating trade row, according to the Chinese state media which said the US has agreed not to impose new tariffs on imports from China. The move came as Trump held a lengthy meeting with Xi on the sidelines of the Group of 20 economic summit in Osaka, Japan. During the meeting, the US said it will not add new tariffs on Chinese exports, China’s state -run China Daily reported.
